Recent Advances in Animal Nutrition – Australia (RAAN-A) will examine the most recent scientific advances in the nutrition of farm livestock, companion animals and aquaculture. This conference is an event at which experts from the scientific community and leaders in industry have gathered for the past 40 years to discuss issues of importance to animal nutrition. ​
Plenary speakers are encouraged to speculate on future trends and to explore new ideas, particularly across species and disciplines.

​​​​​In 2027 the Australian Association of Ruminant Nutrition (AARN) will combined with RAAN to deliver two outstanding combined sessions. AARN will also contribute to the plenary sessions bringing their contribution to the overall program for the benefit of cross learning.
The inaugural Australian Equine Science Symposium (AESS) was held on the Gold Coast, QLD in 2006. The objective was to be a forum for the exchange of research information and ideas among equine researchers in Australia, NZ and overseas specifically:
* Excellence in equine science;
* Focus on technology & innovation relevant to the horse industry;
* To assist young researchers with their careers in equine science; and
* To encourage participation by members of the horse industry.
The Australian Association of Animal Sciences (AAAS) is the national professional body supporting animal scientists across Australia through advocacy, professional development, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. AAAS fosters scientific excellence and innovation in animal research, production, and welfare, providing a platform for networking, mentoring, and representing the interests of its members across academia, industry, and government.
